Huong Tan & Tan Linh Wind Farms are a pair of 48MW wind power plants located in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam. The local area is disadvantaged, having suffered immensely in the damage of the Vietnam War.

In total, 22 wind turbines were installed at HTTL, supplying 326 GWh of renewable electricity to the grid each year. The impact of this development is the reduction from baseline grid emissions of 258,000 tCO2e per annum.

Expected Issuance

The average annual issuance is 235,000 Verified Emission Reductions. Verification and issuance will occur on a regular basis.

Sustainable Development Contributions

Huong Tan & Tan Linh Wind Farms contribute to SDG 7 “Clean Energy”, SDG 13 “Emissions Reductions”, SDG 8 “Job Creation” and SDG 4 “Quality Education”.

Huong Tan & Tan Linh Wind Farms make a significant contribution to the local area, where the Van Kieu ethnic minority group are located. The local authority of Huong Hoa District has recognized the contributions, including the upgrading of road infrastructure and provision of employment opportunities.
